UNIQE Special Volume

Growing up as teen in Indonesia, it is recognisable that there is a lack of sexual and reproductive health education circulating around. It is deemed as indecent or taboo, yet it is actually a very important aspect of our physical health.

Informative Video
The Importance of Sexual & Reproductive Health
The video aspires to educate the youth of Indonesia about the importance of sexual and reproductive health. With this being said, we decided to collaborate with a youth-driven community, TABU.ID that shares the same vision as we do.
With the use of vibrant and bright ÜNIQE’s brand colors, and lively animations, we want to package this ‘stigmatized’ message in an interesting and eye-grabbing piece. This video is also heavily inspired by Vox and Ted-Ed animations which can be seen in the mood board below.
Sticker Pack
Aside from informative video, we also produced sex education theme-related sticker packs. With the aim to spread more awareness regarding the topic, we decided to encapsulate these important messages in adorable and attractive peel-off stickers.
Furthermore, we also incorporated our mascots into the sticker illustrations to increase our brand awareness.
Informative Posts
Connecting with our main vision—educating the youth of Indonesia about the importance of sexual and reproductive health. We created several easy-to-digest informative posts that dissect some of the important topics in comprehensive sexual education; such as consent, relationships, and sexual Health.
Reflection
Key Takeaways
This project is one of the most precious projects I have ever done. The vision that it carried was something that I genuinely care and take a huge interest in. However, this project is far from 'perfect', it was my first time producing, directing and executing an informative video. I was not familiar with tools like After Effects and frame-by-frame animation technique.
In addition, my greatest mistake here was not making a storyboard. I was too focused on the visual aspect of the video and ignored the process of storyboarding; the vital thought-process on how each message could be conveyed effectively and appealingly.
